Sarah Levin and Ryan Basham, or

SaRy

in the tabloids.

The writing duo this whacky world generated.

That's right, humanity. You did this to yourselves. (Or: You deserve this.)

Sarah and Ryan are actual human adults with a diversity of real world lived experiences and fresh takes on it all. We're not here to serve you fresh-grad-from-elite-film-school realness (though, mad props). Rather, we're here to leverage our unusually vast experiences as underrepresented voices living at the intersections of change in order to tell the compelling stories of people we rarely, if ever, see on screen.

One part heart, one part snark, and several parts of ceiling-shattering badassery.

Sarah Levin

Welcome to Sarah Town …

The weather is nice and cats know how to talk, which is a lot less funny than you think because they’re really, really into describing their grooming habits. It’s just one inside joke after another that you will never understand. It might as well be high school.

Speaking of grooming, Sarah was groomed to be hilarious at the Chicago branch of the Second City Conservatory and even appeared in a few shows there. No, she doesn’t know your cousin who used to live there. Wait, do you mean Erica? No, “Erika.” Okay, then I don’t know her, no.

Developed Content:

Sarah won a meeting at the New York Television Festival for the official SaRy pilot Community Services, but the fun doesn’t stop there. Sarah’s comedy short, A Good Catch, is featured on Elizabeth Banks’ comedy website, WhoHaHa.com and has appeared in multiple festivals. It has a giant fish puppet in it, so it’s usually everyone’s favorite.

And speaking of comedy shorts, her piece, Kitteh Hutch and web series, Candice, have also made festival/internet rounds much to the delight of comedy lovers who really understand the intricacies of a woman who is fine with dressing up in the most un-sexy costumes imaginable. It’s like a goddamn mission for her. Sheesh.

Did We Mention She’s An Actress:

But who isn’t??? Amirite? Sarah was notably a company member of The Camanae Theatre Ensemble from Chicago and has worked with the Neofurists and other fine Chicago-based theater groups.

Sarah is currently an Acting Company Member of ART WOW/Bare Bones Theater Company which has its residency at the famed Laguna Playhouse and can be seen in indie films, commercials, other people’s comedy shorts, and more. Keep your eyes open. She’ll turn up.

Where Can I Find This Illustrious Sarah????

You can find Sarah in Los Angeles, but also sometimes in New York, Chicago, Kansas City, and Italy so don’t be surprised if she’s standing behind you right now. 6 feet behind you. Wearing a mask. Offering you hand sanitizer.

Ryan Basham

Ryan is a real life human person who survived being the gayest thing since Kings Hawaiian bread in his tiny Tennessee home town by being a fairy when it entertained the ladies and butching it up enough to through the the jocks off his scent.

A recovering redneck, Ryan escaped to Los Angeles in his early twenties and developed a multidisciplinary career. He has:

Developed Content:

Won an award at the New York Television Festival, sold a show to Lifetime, and become a voting member of the Television Academy based on his own work while supporting other folks with underrepresented voices in making their own award-worthy content. He also put in a stint in VH1's development team where he both received and made so. many. pitches.

Become a Force in Political Activism:

From being VP of Communications for the nation's oldest LGBTQ+ and feminist political group to being an advisor to the Biden for President campaign focusing on getting out the vote among the LGBTQ+ community nation wide, Ryan worked his way up from being a grassroots activist to a meaningful player in the world minority/disadvantaged group rights in the world of politics and policy. He even made Sen. Amy Klobuchar laugh on CNN.

Blended a Communications Background with Leadership Coaching and Training to Experience Amazing Things in the Corporate World:

After his first big job at one of the world's top 10 PR firms working on accounts in a variety of industries (including celebs like Hilary Duff, Spencer and Heidi from The Hills, and Kim K.), Ryan went on to do cool things like career coach at WeWork (yup, during the crash), be Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for an exciting AR/VR startup in stealth mode, and don a ton of leadership and executive coaching along the way.
